I feel strongly that media should not call this a "crackdown" on free speech. That word implies something illegal is being righteously targeted and rooted out. It's the same framing that has obfuscated the admin's "crime" and immigration policies. Just call it censorship.

One of the biggest problems any product development team can have is a lack of diversity, including in life experiences, from poverty to disability, from abuse to discrimination. You need people developing products who are all too aware of how crafty others can be when sufficiently motivated.
