I was talking about how impressed I was with the fascists SAVE Act strategy last week but now I am not so sure. They keep changing what their goals are and how they are going to do it. And Mike Lee is clearly not willing to go the whole way in pissing off the rest of the caucus.

Just some background on this situation: The current parliamentarian will indeed overrule most of the SAVE Act changes. That being said, it is very easy to fire the parliamentarian if they do something disliked. In fact a Republican leader did just this in the Bush years.

Johnson is Trump's best ally. He is able to sound like he is talking normally while doing the most batshit things ever.

The problem I am continually seeing is that the government is not governing. Fascism is a problem too but everything is totally gridlocked.

The problem they are going to run into with this strategy is that Trump is actually the most powerful person in the history of human civilization. That his opinion changing 10 times a day is "not manageable" is true. But he is still the most powerful person in the history of human civilization.

The problem with things like this is you need a not dumb civilization to make sense of it.

Because everything else has been destroyed/paywalled I am often finding that AI is the best source of analysis for things. This is a problem because it is very bad at doing analysis.

Something that really pisses me off about Trump is it is clear he has never been allowed to fail at anything in his life. No matter how outrageous or insane he is he can always assume someone is going to pick up the slack.
