The obsession with seeing the Epstein photos hasn't sat right with me but I couldn't say exactly why. Senate Gabe lays it out. Why does everyone want to see the photos that retraumatize the victims and also are (should be!) disturbing for everyone else?

It is honestly straight up wild how everyone has not thought much about how Elon tweeted Trump was in the Epstein files, his closest allies on Capitol Hill started forcing a vote on releasing the files, and also how weird this is because Elon himself is in the Epstein files.

It is very bad that there is not a single institution I can think of that I trust to handle reporting on Epstein correctly. All the best “reporting” is random people going through and highlight things. But that is also some of the worst reporting too.
