Today I got to the Metro Atwater in time to see the "special" constables of the STM kicking at least three unhoused/marginalized people out into the blizzard. I am told that this is to improve my (because I'm a STM user) "sense of security". I'm not feeling secure. I'm feeling enraged and sad...

Guys, I'm happy to stipulate that the Poilievre Conservatives are the worst choice. I voted Liberal in 2025 to avoid them too. But the threat of an immoral government doesn't mean having an amoral one is a good thing.

once in a while calling services when they ask for my name I will get after "do you need someone that speak French to serve you?" like if i called your anglo line, i'm fine. but today I understood why: When I say my name they hear "François" in there and they think it's "blahblah Français blahblah"

Lovely sunny morning walk. Conditions in peninsula core much improved. Still a few ice spots in places that were never treated, but those are far and few. the city seems to have finally found the Common's Salt shaker, so that was a big improvement.
