One thing that was a strange side story after my cardiac arrest was various health care workers grilling me about cocaine use. I don’t do cocaine. And convincing someone that you don’t do cocaine really makes it sound like you do cocaine. They even got my partner alone a few times and asked them.

Also the nurses couldn’t see my hands because of the restraints so they thought my mom was just saying random shit to me. 😂 I also missed the context that I was intubated and thus couldn’t talk.

I can’t stop thinking about how my mother was prepared for end of life care after my heart attack then later I started to wake up and doing sign language with my hands restrained. My first question was “what happened?” My mom said “you died.” Then I asked for my phone and she knew I was okay.

I know we’re all bummed right now. As political and spiritual leader of Nova Scotia, I’m recommending we all spend the day keeping a buzz on and doing some serious fucking. Name a better way to spend the rest of a Sunday. Amen.
