This article came about because of an independent audit of LA’s failed Vision Zero attempt. It’s paywalled of course. I doubt I’m the only one interested who doesn’t subscribe to this Bezos-owned newspaper, but I was able to read it. I’m going to share some highlights & tie it back to Halifax 🧵

The audit also highlighted how some proven strategies for slowing cars such as setting safer speed limits, changing those limits based on traffic or weather, and using camera enforcement were limited or outlawed by state regulations. (Sound familiar Halifax?)
