The Knicks are averaging 17.7 2nd chance points per game and 53.3 points in the paint per game in the playoffs. Both of those figures are the most by a team to reach the NBA Finals since at least 1997 (earliest season for which comprehensive play-by-play is available)

The 2026 Knicks are 1 of 3 teams in NBA history with multiple 30-pt closeout wins (2025 Thunder, 2008 Celtics). They could be the 1st team in NBA history to have 3 30-pt closeout wins in a single run

I have long noted that one of the things Wemby is worst at on the basketball court is practicing halfcourt shots. When he messes around and tries them pregame, or at shootarounds, he usually doesn’t even come close. Until there’s a second left in the first half of WCF Game 4.

Absolutely jarring to watch this and imagine how many times the modern scorer would be falling down, jerking their head back, hooking arms, etc on all of these. a performance like this was so much more meaningful than anything you could possibly see these days

The Thunder bench outscored the starters 76-47. That 29-pt difference is the 2nd-most in a true* playoff road win since at least 1974. The only larger was 2019 Clippers at Warriors (+31). Lou Williams (36) and Montrezl Harrell (25) combined for 61 in that one. *excluding bubble 'road' games

Alex Caruso is now 2-4 from 3 tonight, making him 26-56 from deep in the playoffs after hitting just 29% in reg season. This is one of the biggest increases ever, very similar to Andrew Nembhard just last year (both ~29% to 46%)
