A pattern is developing where everyone who fights back against a Trump attack inevitably wins with their reputation much better than before, and everyone who caves to him looks like shit and has Trump coming back for more a month later.

I have written and deleted a lot of posts but I keep thinking about how the brutal assassination of Minnesota State senator Melissa Hortman, her husband Mark, and their beloved dog Gilbert in June did not prompt this same level of calls for empathy, sympathy, and flags at half-mast.

This is happening because Republican bullies take advantage of Democrats' good faith and willingness to take the high road. Instead of praising him like Gavin Newsom, Josh Shapiro and others, Dems should've simply said nothing and responded only with many of the hateful things Kirk said in life.
