I am struck by how every single one of these theses, not just the last two, are based on senior academics assuming potential andquality. AI could generate theory, review literature, replace the RA… have any of them actually submitted that work? Do they always correctly guess how peer review will go?

Ironically enough, I am working on a study examining how AI boosters talk about it. The use of inevitability narratives grounded in potential, in the assumption of high quality, is the most common theme beyond leaders using force words to coerce AI usage out of their staff. This post mirrors that.
