These guys are idiots The pool is something like 7 million gallons. That hose will take months to drain it. The concentration of H2O2 is likely very very low particularly after having a few days to react. The deal is it seems to have oxidized that lovely new paint which is why its pealing

no interest in being "that guy", but it's really to know that hydrogen peroxide is *extremely* short lived in water, and will evolve as O2 and H2O (both obviously totally harmless) ... it being so green just just means that the peroxide they used was ultimately useless

Do I have any mutuals in/near Philadelphia? My mom is there on a trip. We got a crash notification from my her phone on I-95 near the airport and the phone location is still there. We have not been able to reach her. If anyone can help, I’d appreciate it.

My long Juneteenth thread: Juneteenth has been celebrated since 1865. You’ll also hear it called Freedom Day, Juneteenth National Independence Day, Jubilee Day, Emancipation Day, and Liberation Day. To understand Juneteenth, you have to understand the limitations of the Emancipation Proclamation. /1

So, newly freed African Americans celebrated and June 19th was known as Juneteenth. BUT, it's important to know that even General Granger's proclamation on June 19th didn't free everyone for many reasons: 1) Some slaveholders simply refused to free enslaved people, and they threatened violence. /6

2) Some hid the proclamation from enslaved people. 3) Some tricked enslaved people to stay, promising a share of the crops/land/livestock. After the harvest, they refused and drove them away. 4) Some just ignored the order and continued to enslave people until federal soldiers discovered them. /7

Some examples of slavery not ending for many on June 19, 1865: 1) A white woman chained a Black woman to a loom so she couldn’t escape for a year. 2) Several slaveholders just refused to free people, and many bragged about it. Many enslaved people weren’t freed until 1868. /8

If you are under 45 in the US, you should get this. Your gender is irrelevant here. Shout out to my one ex who listened to me after we broke up and was like, "I got the shots" It's a series. I got the series, like, eons ago. If you already have HPV, get the shots. It covers many strains.
