My personal thoughts on muse discourse is that all the muses we know about are a story and part of the show. However- those stories are good! And entertaining! It’s like fan fic- or a romance novel! It’s written to be enjoyed! If you enjoy musing, you are enjoying Taylor’s writing.

1. Its a boring and shallow analysis 2. It devalues and under appreciates how deep all of this work truly is 3. It YET AGAIN perpetuates the narrative that women are defined by the relationship they hold with other people and not themselves 4. She straight up told us to stop in the prologue
