i just saw chappell roan’s ig story and she didn’t know about the mother and child, and it wasn’t even her security guard. i’m relieved to hear her side of the story, and i’m mad at myself for falling into emotional responses when the story first came out. i’m so sorry chappell :(

people wanted a reason to hate chappell roan and this whole alleged bodyguard situation shows that. misogyny is so rooted in our society that even if we don’t have the full story (especially if there are missing pieces), people are more willing to blame her than the bodyguard. i hate it here.

i came across this poem by bartholomew barker called sappho’s song which is inspired by lesbian poet sappho, and it reminds me of lover and midnights: sing me no songs of the daylight, for the sun is the enemy of lovers sing me instead of shadows and darkness, and the memories of midnight.

i watched the new olivia rodrigo vogue video and my mind couldn’t help but think of taylor, but it could also be an easter egg for or3 (13 is an unlucky number so maybe the album will be called luck like some fans have theorized)
