I hope I'm never perceived as doing this., FWIW, I think most trans people appear to be "panicking" the correct amount and as much as possible I try to take my cues from them (or at least measure my conclusions on the topic against theirs, to see if I am way off base).

I know this is a dark time for the arts but I also want to let you know that there are lots of creatives that are doing well! When I reach out to hire artists I OFTEN get turned down b/c they are booked solid, or swamped with work. It's not a hopeless field! People need art and we shouldn't give up!
