I’ve only recently learned of Tristan Allen, the composer and puppeteer. I’d love to see the full performance with puppets of this recent release (the second part of a trilogy), but listening to the music alone is wonderful.

Wow. This is still going and we’ve gotten over 500 questions about bipolar disorder. I’ve answered 12 so far. It’s been very cool to see the panelists from around the globe contributing steadily over the past 24 hours. Some of the questions are difficult, and some heavy, but it’s encouraging too.

I should be clear; his wild life involves watching the PBS News Hour with my mom on weekdays and being in bed by 9pm most nights, it’s just that he will also randomly be like “oh, I met T.I the other day.”

Oh I like this. Konradsen is a Norwegian duo who started making music together in high school. Listening to this jazzy alternative folk-pop is exactly the thing for sitting outside on a cool, sunny afternoon.

Finally, I ended my day with the fist GBV album I really got into. I never get tired of it; I enjoy it more and more over time.

Commute album number two was this one from Neurosis I’ve been seeing so much about. I don’t always connect with metal, but I really liked this. It took me a few tracks to decide if it was for me, but it’s got these great progy instrumental bits that are awesome, and some truly great lyrics.

I have a long commute and today I got to listen to three albums. The first was this new one from Irish singer-songwriter Joshua Burnside. I’ll admit that it took me this second listen to really connect with it, but it’s lovely: gentle and sad, with just enough wit to temper it.
