There ought to be more buzz around Abadir's new album 𝘒𝘪𝘵𝘣𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨. Social media soundbites, ads, and reels collaged into microcosms of semioblitz. Brutal, spastic, and weirdly comforting, all at the same time.

In instrumental music, the protagonist of the music is usually the music. Too often this protagonist is intended to be honest & likeable, which can feel inauthentic, like a character on an early-evening sitcom. Protagonists (ie musics) that are confused, deceptive and even repulsive can work better.
