I think so, yes. The biggest thing about protesting en mass like we are is that it reminds people that we arenāt 1939 Germany. Thereās a large, organized social and political resistance to this regime, and the message is clear: We arenāt going to sleepwalk into a dictatorship.

If we stop calling these āgrantsā and start calling them ācontracts,ā itās clearer to people why this is such an abuse of power. This wasnāt a bunch of gifts. This was a bunch of binding contracts between researchers and the US govt for specific agreed upon projects.

Took me a bit to process how big a deal this report actually is--its thus far the only review to look at the entire body of currently available research. It took two years to conduct, stands at 1,000 pages, and completely contradicts the Cass Review and the common arguments for bans on this care.
