in light of the linktree ai shenanigans, i've started to create a digital card template that i'll share for free bc i think it's smth easy to do with minimal html/css. it'll also be customizable and i'll explain how to host it yourself for free on neocities. :) this is what it looks like now!

This is the difference between lettering, and lettering with a designer's eye. A character is waking up after nearly drowning. The top balloon is okay. It gets the job done. But the bottom balloon really SELLS the watery lungs.

If you're a writer who uses generative ai for your cover art or promos, you're a bum. "I wrote it all myself though." Nah, I can't trust that now. And I do not give a fuck anymore. How would you feel if an artist drew a cover, then generated a whole novel? Be better.

*sigh* If your Kickstarter video/image is AI, I won't back it. If your book has an AI cover, I won't read it. If you're a public supporter of AI use for creative work, I will unfollow you. I cannot stress enough how offensive I find AI use in the arts. It is outright theft, it is lazy, it is gross.
