You can look to a fair few of the current popular multiplayer games Steam reviews and see how many are mixed to negative. Obv not all big hitters have bad reviews but the ones with bad reviews have some of the biggest player counts at the moment. Just doesn't feel like a healthy state for gaming

Sometimes it is quite blissfull not to be too online about games. I've been enjoying going back to BF6, it just feels like a really solid game. But if you read online opinions it's turned into a bad game. The typical players with 1000s of hrs in it saying how bad it is.
