i don’t think people on bluesky understand the severity of this situation. i woke up to literally hundreds of texts from friends and family thinking about either moving back home to india or applying to other countries for jobs. this includes me.

I can't do millennial complaints, but my most GenX complaint is that cynicism should not be an excuse to roll over or tell others to quit. It's the armor you need to continue to fight when you know you won't be the one to benefit from it. Yeah, we're fucked. Now get your hands dirty.

I wanted to get a video of this ghost crab but every time I got close to their hole they scuttled back in, so I tried getting clever with it. I made a little sandcastle and shoved my phone into it, hit record, and walked away. Crab was VERY suspicious of this addition to their environment.

They just tear-gassed us. They tried to run us over in a van holding a peaceful protester. They shot us with pepper balls. They dragged another protester into the facility.
