Sarah Cannavo gives us a different view of Icarus in her poem "Melted Wax, Blackened Feathers".

"Your Mom, the Space Sailor", by Pam Yve Simon, combines the space-bound work of an astronaut and the very grounded love of a mother.

"we are all made of star-stuff", by ash vale, moves from the physical reality of that phrase to the emotional truth that we don't necessarily feel that way, and the separation that can bring.

When the wind smells like wood lilies and sounds like silver bells, good mothers shut their doors tight, as Kate Francia tells us in her story from Issue 12.
