“The Religious Education of Rotisserie Opera” explores the nature of belief in a closed ecosystem; is a manufactured metaphysics really so different than those social, cultural and religious frameworks in which we’re raised today?

I need a timeline cleanse. How about a table of contents announcement! That’s right—despite the world being on fire, it’s time to reveal the TOC for Year’s Best Canadian F&SF Volume 3! It was VERY hard to narrow the list down but it's all killer, no filler. The book launches October 14. Enjoy! 1/2

The Warfighter - Small Wonders
Cadence noticed the warfighter on her way to school, and then later walking home along Sixth Avenue he was still in the tiny fenced park and there was a pigeon watching him, which the police had thought at one time was a good way to disguise a camera.

As I replace my paper library with ebooks, there are a few that I can't get rid of, like this copy of The Death and Life of Dith Pran -- signed by Dith Pran, survivor of the Khmer Rouge's killing fields.

Ah, I see the confusion. When RFK Jr says he's defending "medical freedom," he's simply protecting our right to die from the same horrible, preventable diseases that the founding fathers died from.
