Just watched a train get signal priority at Alaska and MLK but then get stopped at MLK and Oregon. I'd just say there's still room for SDOT to improve the signal operations on MLK.

The lights are still out, going on more than a year, at Judkins Park. This trail is heavily used by locals for recreation as well as a major connection in our regional transportation bike network.

"They're going to have to park somewhere," is something that a Federal Way councilmember just said in a public meeting about a downtown street being closed for pedestrian events, thirty three days before Federal Way's light rail station (steps away!) opens to the public.

Actually listening to a Federal Way's Community Development Director admit in a public meeting that the city once shook down a developer to get them to pay for 70% of the cost of a traffic signal in order to get their project advanced through a development moratorium. This is seen as normal.

The leaves on Rainier Ave are making a pretty convincing argument that the center turn lanes don't get much use -- lots of excess road space that could be protected bike infrastructure.

Wild how many people can't see parking requirements for what it is: a scheme for big auto to embed costs and boost profits. Building dense housing without parking is a threat to their business model so they make it illegal to live without cars. Pretending otherwise just hurts everyone.
