Historic district reform. Remove: -public right of way, -parking/empty lots, -construction built on top of historic district buildings that preserves base, from their jurisdiction. Clearly this is needed. Am I missing anything?

Bringing this up again. You know, and you are on record saying, that you were going to do everything in your power as transportation chair to kill the Mosquito Fleet Act. Your amendments were not friendly, and attained their real goal of killing what the bill was actually supposed to achieve.

Mamdani gets it right. You cannot call yourself a progressive and at the same time purposely stifle private housing development. You cannot claim you are part of a welcoming blue city to those fleeing red states while saying “we’re full” because you made sure we didn’t build enough housing.

Ron is the progressive we need to lead the 46th District through the problems of the 21st Century, the problems Pollet either does not seem to care about, or understand. Make no mistake, we’re going up against one of the most established incumbents in the legislature, so we will need your help!

Removal from office isn’t remotely adequate to punish these men for their proud misgovernance. They need a jail cell, and that’s the moderate option.

Not that it actually matters, but since OPCD seems to care, I think it’s a bad aesthetic choice. It’s like the planners looked at generic clipart of a skyline and tried to enforce that with an iron fist. It looks intentional, inorganic, and weird.

It’s time that we ban right turns on red citywide as an initial step towards building a transportation network that prioritizes people.

I will knock doors, make calls, and vote for the candidates I like in the primary. I will bash the ones I don’t. You should too if you never have. But you can be damn sure I will support and do all these things for the Democratic Party nominee, whether I bashed them or not, because I’m not a fool.

I said at the Historic Board that anyone from the Munich Christmas Market or New Orleans Bourbon Street would say how important car barriers are. Seattle City Council Appointee Jonathan Kiehnau responded that mentioning those tragedies is “catastrophizing” and that it won’t happen here. 🫠👍

I just went to the Pike Place Historic Board meeting and the pro-car people have a new talking point and are claiming that this 7.1% sales increase is actually all just inflation from last year.

I don’t EVER want to hear “they need to be better trained.” Pure cruelty like this doesn’t come from a lack of training. Training will only teach them how to be more effective at terrorizing the populous.

I agree. This part is not a good idea. The only way to have a city that both has cheap rent and doesn’t keep people out is to build a shit ton more housing. Rules like this will deter building and keep housing scarce.
