as someone living in seattle without a car and earning approximately 30% AMI, i will be happy to vote for this sales tax increase to fund and improve the transit services i rely on. the seattle times editorial board doesn't know jack about the affordability issues that impact me.

This is not how public process should work. People should not be permitted a heckler’s veto and I want to know why those handful of voices outranks ours…plus why advocates for things have to win every fight and the opposition only needs to win once even when advocates follow the process.

New intersection daylighting at Pike and Belmont via a bike/scooter parking corral! This removes 0 legal car parking spaces, increases pedestrian safety by improving visibility of the crosswalk, and improves accessibility by encouraging scooter parking in the street. Letting business/property owners override the Vision Zero safety team based on vibes is par for the course at SDOT and needs to change. Making intersections safer by improving visibility is a proven strategy. Of the proposed locations with pedestrian collisions, 0 remain in the plan.

Pike Place Market preservationists spent a decade pushing back on the Center City Connector by saying that First Avenue could just as easily be served by buses. Anyone know where I can find their advocacy to put buses on First Avenue now that the Center City Connector is dead?
