I love this project that pedestrianized a street in Stoke Newington. It keeps existing curb and gutter but adds amenities with a focus on natural materials. Sort of “tactical plus.”

I have a project to pedestrianize a street that is used by a farmers market, so it was cool to run across these covered market stalls at Marché de la Libération in Nice, France and see how they are used when the market is closed.

Oh god yes. There are so many tourist and other high traffic areas all over London that could benefit from this.

Cramped footpaths no longer. Camden Council plans to pedestrianize the street in front of the British Museum.

Camden Council's proposal for New Oxford Street is incredible.

Camden's planned new "mobility hubs" are lovely and better than the status quo but I'm skeptical of the need for private car charging. Do people drive to the hub, park at the one stall not in use, and then get on a bike? Is this a use case common enough to warrant public infrastructure investment?

The PDA's 800 stall public car parking garage earned $300,000 more than expected this year in revenue for them. I guess people figured out how to drive and park at the Market even though the publicly subsidized on-street parking is now restricted to ADA and loading/unloading only.

I would like to see a Seattle Center better woven into the fabric of its adjacent neighborhoods: Uptown, Belltown, and South Lake Union. Climate Pledge Arena has a thoughtful front door facing Uptown but the other institutions either turn their backs or present a driveway or load zone.

It's amazing that bus lanes on Denny Way were impossible but now Katie Wilson is mayor and suddenly physics and geometry work different.

SDOT's slow progress on Shared Streets would be comical if it wasn't so frustrating. In SDOT-speak, "Q2 2026" probably means July. Oops, that's the World Cup, so August. Oh, but that's recess. Then maybe September. Ugh, but that's budget season...
