Update: a work order has been open here for wire theft since 2022. All I had to do was be slightly annoying over email, and Seattle City Light agreed to ask their work crew to schedule a repair over the next one or two weeks.

it’s pretty amazing how living in Seattle has allowed me, a complete normie, to - commute by bike - visit state parks by bike(!!) - participate in community things like critical mass, bike tag, free group rides.

This is a must-read. It’s a detailed proposal based on systems that work around the world, and doesn’t require reopening an EIS. There’s a path here toward building *all* of ST3, sooner and cheaper. But so far, Sound Transit leadership has refused to consider it, wanting instead to cut rail projects

Yo… Mason County, WA has a free Dial-A-Ride service that will take you anywhere in the county?! Should allow for some pretty amazing transit trekking opportunities on the Olympic peninsula.

Piled up outside the Bouldering Project 20+ bikes almost daily. The City of Seattle allocates way more space to 4 people with cars. Given the price of gas, maybe the City can allocate more space for people on 2 wheels and 2 legs.

Governor, congresspeople, everyone in power—the region’s jewel city yearns for rail transit. We gotta be able to knock this out ASAP. Like at the expediency at which we can reopen a highway closed by a landslide. It is a political capital printing machine.
