I didn't believe this so I looked it up and holy shit, it's true. There is a literal pathway to life imprisonment if a trans person uses the bathroom 4 times in Idaho, if this bill fully passes.

Here's a thought. Save that half a billion dollars and use it to build the new freeway and transit bridge over the Columbia. Let the sports moguls build and renovate their own stadiums.

It's good news that Ferguson & Kotek support the pared-down plan that comes in at $7.65 billion (!) and it preserves light rail from Portland to Vancouver. But assuming the feds will fund most of this are pie-in-the-sky.

With cost estimates more than doubling, it's time for the governors of WA & OR to significantly scale back this project. And it's time to create a Bank of #Cascadia to keep the massive interest we'll pay on this bridge here at home.
