Heads up, the traffic signal pole and cabinet at SW 2nd Avenue and Harvey Milk Street was damaged by demolition happening next to it. Until we can fix the signal, treat this intersection as an all-way stop. PBOT crews will be onsite to investigate as soon as it is safe.

Update: PBOT crews performed a confined space entry to patch the maintenance hole base and then our contractor filled the void with rock. NE Halsey Street is now open to eastbound traffic.

Traffic Alert: PBOT is closing the intersection of NE 47th Avenue & Halsey Street for investigation & repairs after a large void was discovered beneath the road surface, making it unsafe for travel. Use alternate routes & avoid the area until further notice. Visit trimet.org for service impacts.

A few weeks ago, PBOT crews repainted the Business Access and Transit (BAT (yes that’s ACTUALLY what BAT stands for)) Lane on NE Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard. Last summer PBOT crews paved from NE Holladay to East Burnside streets.

Today, contractors working for PBOT removed an approximately 100-year-old, 350-gallon, riveted steel tank at N Rosa Parks and Greeley Avenue next to what used to be a gas station. The tank was not leaking and still held 75-gallons of petroleum.

No jokes here, yesterday PBOT crews installed our 2025 Bike to Books winners on Neighborhood Greenways across the city! Bike to Books is the program brought to you by PBOT and Multnomah County Library to encourage kids (and now adults, too) to ride bikes and read books.

W Capitol Highway and NE Killingsworth Street are shining brighter thanks to Fixing Our Streets! Both streets are part Portland’s High Crash Network, the 8% of Portland’s streets where 57% of serious injuries crashes and fatalities occur.

Traffic update: As of Tuesday, March 31, NW Cornell Road is OPEN between the tunnels, east of the Bird Alliance of Oregon. PBOT crews cleared debris over the weekend to open this section of Cornell earlier than expected. Still closed: NW Cornell Road, between NW Thompson Rd and NW Skyline Blvd.

Ready, steady, go! Contractors remove old signal heads from SE 82nd Avenue and Woodward Street. While completing this work our contractors also work hard to keep traffic flowing, help pedestrians cross the street safely, and maintain business access for customers and freight vehicles.

Traffic Advisory: PBOT advises the traveling public to expect periodic lane closures on SE Foster Rd between SE Barbara Welch Rd and SE Jenne Rd for safety sign installation. The work and lane closures started Monday and are expected to continue on weekdays through April 3.
