Good reply thread. Term limits drain knowledge and influence from the legislature and move it into the lobbying sector. Term limits mean governance becomes ineffective and special interest influence increases. Transparency, better electoral system, real parties, and retirement age are better ideas.

Hi. I'm a registered lobbyist in the state with formerly the strictest term limits in the country. Term limits destroyed all institutional knowledge and trust in the legislature. Yes we became more influential, as did legislative staff & the Executive Branch, but we still backed term limits reform.
