Two of their best musicals in terms of actually building and paying off motifs, generating theme and character through song, etc….went with Hunchback, which is a longtime favorite, a really beautiful and ecstatic movie imo. Some truly old-fashioned Hollywood entertainment.

The whole "y'all are getting carried away with your quirky bird comedy" is some real normie majority supremacy. And does strengthen my resolve in favor of said quirky birds. THREE CABALLEROS is also a stunning work of classic cinema not to be undervalued.

Beauty and the Beast is a masterpiece but I flippin’ love Three Caballeros for all its weirdness. I’m here for the chaos.

While I love Beauty and the Beast, I hope Three Caballeros wins in the last stretch purely out of spite because the way people have gotten angry about its existence/chance at winning and been absurdly dismissive over its excellent artistry has me fully Jokerfied.
