This is why, speaking as a reporter who has covered a lot of this stuff, I find it bizarre that a lot of the commentariat don't see where anti-trans stuff is going. Gaines et al are pretty clear about how they see sports as a way to win battles that bathroom stuff didn't like a decade ago.
