If thereâs any one idea that dominates the 20th century, it is many people either donât want to come up with new ideas or they donât want to step aside for those that have them.

if I'm perfectly honest, I'm not sure any of the AI companies actually know why they're doing anything other than to exist and constantly expand into industries with no concern over whether they can actually serve them. It's a global test of how much executives know about how their companies work

The whole "permanent underclass" thing is also really gross. It's a weird thing reporters are doing that treats LLMs like they're about to render large swaths of the populace unemployed - a complete lie - and acts sort of...whimsically curious about it? Almost excited to be writing about it?

Joined The Tech Report to talk about OpenAI pushing its IPO, the multi-trillion dollar tech stock sell off that's followed a global souring on AI, the RAM crisis, and why SoftBank's goose may be cooked, along with MUFJ and other Japanese stocks.

There are standup comedians who I don't think are funny, but at least, still understand the form of comedy. This guy is just not a standup comedian. He's just an asshole with a microphone who talks on stage.

It would be nice if the schemes and maneuvers from tech companies to manipulate the stock market would be initially met with skepticism from the press, as opposed to them acting as pro-bono employees of Tech CEOs' PR departments.

Anyone who claims to be a Democrat that tells you 'pulling our party to the left is bad' is a Republican. The people have spoken at the ballot box. What that person considers "extremely left" is median normie now. Don't give up an inch. Not one inch. Push left.

Trump literally saying that establishment Dems and current Dem leadership is preferable for their Administration because they're easier to beat and bad at politics. That's what he's telling everyone. Schumer and Jeffries are easy to beat at the ballot box so we like them better. WILD to say out loud
