Bluesky is telling users that community moderation is how to protect people from these bad actors who *their own mods currently are protecting* While those community mods are already cutting back due to the threat of those bad actors.

These community moderators, even in the best case, are running labelers and block lists which account for a tiny fraction of the 25 million people using the site. Community moderation is a drop in the bucket, and it is *already* evaporating as these mods decide it is not worth being here.

The current mod policy allows all of this. Community moderators, who are the very people targeted by these open mass harassment campaigns, are going silent. They are leaving the site, for their own well-being. Or at least, reducing their exposure to these bad actors now totally allowed here.

The current policy *explicitly* allows for off-site mass harassment campaigns of its trans users. Ones that already exist, that already openly involve *well known bad actors who openly talk about themselves coordinating these harassment campaigns*
