The more we've done away with physical buttons on almost all tech stuff, and moved on to touchscreen, the more I miss actual physical buttons. Mostly because when you're concentrating on something else, it's so much easier to reach out for a physical button without looking.

I'm sure everyone will be SHOCKED to hear that the videos do not show the whole "people came out and attacked ICE with snow shovels" thing that ICE claimed was what happened. This was not a remotely defensive gunshot.

I think there is an aspect to the fascists in the US not truly grasping how good their life actually has been. They’ve gotten so accustomed to being able to get away with so much in their life and even rewarded for it. So they invented battles, to feel something from their unfulfilling existence.

ICE and MAGA really did bet the farm on all of Minneapolis’s white people going “oh yes, please take away our disgusting, evil non-white-foreigner neighbors, oh thank you so much.” it’s beautiful that they’ve been proven incredibly wrong about that - may the rest of the country do the same.

I do sort of idly wonder what the impact of everyone having a phone with a camera has done to the tenability of fascist projects like this, especially in the vein this administration is going for - overtly inspired by the 1930s Nazi movement with its very public performances of propaganda.
