in the past working on my portfolio/resume/applying to jobs has always given me like... math frustration, if yk what I mean? that kind of helpless brain-fried frustration that just makes you wanna cry? so I'm trying to walk a fine line here of working just a lil on that stuff before I Feel Bad

genuine question - do folks still include references on their resumes/applications nowadays? I haven't seen it talked about or really considered A Thing anymore but I'm also not super in tune with hiring practices since I've been just been doing art freelancing the past few years now

i think something for new artists to keep in mind is that you're comparing your output to the output of the aggregate of all of the artwork you see. put another way, it can feel like you aren't doing enough because you see like a hundred new drawings a day, often made by a hundred different artists.
