As a related example: "AI is useful for note taking" obfuscates the fact that we had non-LLM based speech to text for a very long time, and the LLM ones are considerably worse

You could not waterboard the statement "AI makes me a better writer" out of me. If the prose from the Great Automated Averager is an improvement on what you can do yourself, then you're admitting that you are a below average writer. Not below average for reporters; below average for the gen pop.

An unaccounted for part of the economy is how much young people virulently hate AI, despite how aggressively it's being forced on them. They realize it's making their friends dumber and ruining the world and they want nothing to do with it. From the Penn student paper:

I expect the Harry Potter show will be popular, at least for a while, and the extremism of the author will be minimized. If this comes to pass, I suggest practicing these phrases: "No, I haven't heard about it." "Isn't that for, uh, 11 year olds?" "So... you're really still into that? Uh. OK."

this is completely insane: since when is it acceptable for a tech company to rewrite news outlets' headlines without their consent? especially at a time when audiences are sensitive to how stories are framed in headlines? (ie Israel/Palestine, the Trump admin, ICE)
