In case you missed that this is an update: The woman has died.
#SOS
wants more of this. I hope
@mayorher.bsky.social
understands that this is why the Summit Regional plan is a critical need. Not one death is acceptable. We know how to prevent these deaths and have the ability to do so. A choice.

I'm not sure people are aware of just how often someone will yell at me on my bike for seemingly the mere sake of existing. I take so much psychic damage from it and it's directly why bits like the St Paul Saints' "bikes shouldn't be on the road" hot takes get my blood boiling

The worst UI change for Windows 11 is that opening its namesake Window (file explorer) often crashes the operating system. The second worst is that Ctrl+p then Enter doesn't print anymore and instead asks you to change the printer from the default

Sometimes in the world of transportation you'll hear arguments against bike lanes because they don't align with the "user-pay, user-benefit" theory but there are many times where everyone can benefit Transportation is not a zero-sum game Separated bike lanes do benefit bikes, but not only bikes

Saw the improved bike path on Minnesota in downtown Saint Paul yesterday, it's so nice! Im glad they are adding infrastructure to make downtown safer and more pleasant for me to visit and for my retired mom to get her steps in from her condo.

Best I can tell the county found a way to eliminate the bike path, while preserving their ability to say they haven't eliminated the bike path. Bizarre outcome.

I love to call my Senators' offices three times per week and try to cajole them into doing the most elementary political messaging and strategy. This is what it means to be an engaged citizen: leaving a strenuously polite voicemail for a 74yo on a more regular cadence than I talk to my parents.

I bike and take transit to St Paul Brewing when I do go. My mom regularly walks there from her condo downtown. The brewery's old building was off the car-centric Highway 5 instead of the park-adjacent Hamm's building. Why not stay there/move back if parking is valued so highly?
