late morning / early afternoon, rented a bike from the theo wirth center and did a 25 mile loop on the grand rounds. really beautiful and well connected trail system, good wayfinding and amenities, and of course stunning lakes

rounded out yesterday with a lime bike ride around south minneapolis, love the new-build style of bike lane with the dark gray concrete, lots of commuters and families out using them. took the midtown greenway rail trail for a few blocks as well

Minneapolis celebrates spring with a parade of giant handmade socialist puppets and a festival where people row the sun across the lake. This year's Mayday festival was today, and I'm going to try to share some photos and videos (many taken by others) to try to explain it for my non-local friends.

I have never seen so many bikes in one place. Feels like all of Minneapolis is at MayDay... and that everyone got here via bike.
