Almost every FDA Commissioner since 1990, under Republican or Democratic presidents, ripped Prasad’s latest action to pieces; he’s a huge danger to US public health They published their piece in the New England Journal of Medicine 1/2

TN07 is a story about gerrymandering: the GOP cracked Nashville into 3 districts when it redrew the 2022 map, destroying the Dem seat there. Fast-forward: a section of Nashville, which just 5 years ago had a Dem representative, is now voting Dem by huge margins but it's been designed to not matter.

This is essentially Vinay Prasad, who has an MD, declaring his intent to use the government to torture children to dead via preventable disease by knowingly withholding the cure. To call this despicable is an understatement.

We have said consistently that the Guard should not be here. It is unsafe for both members of the Guard and communities. Our deepest condolences go to the two West Virginia families who will now spend this season mourning the loss of loved ones who died while deployed unnecessarily.

I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

The message behind “quiet, piggy” was not subtle. I decide who speaks. I decide what truth is. I decide whose pain persists and whose gets erased. I decide what women are allowed to ask me. I decide which crimes survive and which get swallowed in smoke.

Quick point of clarification for pundits, politicians, journalists, & any others commenting on the Epstein Trump files: The victims were NOT "young women". They were CHILDREN. As such, they were not capable of giving legal consent. Sex without consent is rape. Words matter. Get them right.

Yes, some people's legacies are complicated. For example, Watson. After all, though he was racist, don't forget his other traits. For example, he was also sexist. And also anti-semitic. And a data / idea thief. So let's not forget all the different facets.
