When money is tight, those in need are first to to face cuts with no other help. Why? Why do we punish those in need for the choices of those with millions/billions? Why can't we do an honest trickle down where the rich are taxed more than they are now and apply that money to social safety nets?

This is a very important point. The vaccines do reduce transmission. That bears out in the data. And it’s important to say it bc right-wing operatives like NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya use the lie that they don’t reduce transmission to support their pro-infection/herd immunity advocacy.
