I always admired Kaleb Horton's writing so much and am terribly sorry to hear of his death. It's a long list of singular writers who didn't have the careers they should have because of the people, places, and things that killed online media, but his name is right at the very top. I hate all of it.

Heard from a friend at Disney+ that there are multiple levels of freakout internally, both from internal dissatisfaction, concerns about subscription cancelations, and of course the big one: concern about a boycott spilling over into parks and cruises.

I've seen some reactions from struggling artists along the lines of 'I give up' and I feel your pain—but please do not. Most people don't want to live in a world where artists are automated away, art production is captured by AI firms. Most people hate this idea. Organize. Build solidarity. Fight.
