I can hear
@peter.petermorwood.com
muttering at this in *fury* from right over in the Afterlife. "*No* sane pilot should ever pull a stunt like that! Stupid reckless fucker should be cashiered." (And there weren't many things that could get P. to drop the F-bomb, but this kind of thing was one.) 😡

There's a FB article making the rounds that opens, "BREAKING: TV networks refuse to clear airtime for Trump's 'election integrity' address as schedules stay unchanged." But the article doesn't say anything about them "refusing," only that they haven't committed to airing it. That's VERY different.

And also it’s good to remember who you shouldn’t vent to. The whole Ring Theory thing (“support in, complain out”).

It’s good knowing who you can vent to. (I just vented to just the right person to understand WHY I’m venting.)

this really made me laugh because it made me imagine SSPX as Lara Flynn Boyle in “Wayne’s World” “you know, Wayne, if you’re not careful, you’re going to lose me” “are you mental? WE BROKE UP! get the net!”

This is partly because I’m bothered by conspiracy theories, but I’ll say it: Mitch McConnell is most likely still alive. Speculation can be its own kind of satisfying, but I doubt even the U.S. government could keep TMZ from finding out he’d died and announcing it.

this is where your money goes when you buy harry potter stuff. rowling isn’t shy about it. amnesty wrote an even-handed report that laid out what anti-rights groups do; rowling uses her billions & clout to suppress it. when you give rowling money; she spends it on stealing people’s human rights.

I was listening to Birdhouse in Your Soul the other day on my scooter and a woman screamed in glee from across the park and threw her fist in the air, "Yes!" Smiling the entire time. I love how much joy They Might Be Giants brings the world. :)

TO BE CLEAR I'm not blaming a. the social media person or b. the journalist. But if you wrote that headline, GFY right now. "Cowards" my ass. CAR DRIVERS MURDER BICYCLISTS EVERY DAY. & some of it is when they're actively trying not to but the disproportion of size is MASSIVE.

Not naming where I saw it, but just saw a basic copy editing fail where a person was quoted about another person but the two people were mixed up. i.e., [she] spoke about [he] but the quote was credited to [he], not [she].

My (actual, unironic) favorite part of social media is waking up to learn someone terrible has died because everyone's laughing about it. All news should be broken in the form of snark-ass jokes.
