This is incredible and a huge reminder that film--even B-grade horror movies--can be art that transcends genre and medium.

you know, the heartbreaking thing about checking the replies to see if someone already made the joke you want to make is that sometimes someone did and that’s simply not fair. somebody get me thanos. i want to say my funny thing and have it not be redundant.

Why do I say "it's not the butter" when I'm talking about animal illnesses? When Alice was nearing the end, she really stopped eating. Like, entirely. Her stomach was full of cancer, and food held no appeal. But she still liked to get up on the counter and lick the butter.

I can hear
@peter.petermorwood.com
muttering at this in *fury* from right over in the Afterlife. "*No* sane pilot should ever pull a stunt like that! Stupid reckless fucker should be cashiered." (And there weren't many things that could get P. to drop the F-bomb, but this kind of thing was one.) 😡

There's a FB article making the rounds that opens, "BREAKING: TV networks refuse to clear airtime for Trump's 'election integrity' address as schedules stay unchanged." But the article doesn't say anything about them "refusing," only that they haven't committed to airing it. That's VERY different.

And also it’s good to remember who you shouldn’t vent to. The whole Ring Theory thing (“support in, complain out”).

This is partly because I’m bothered by conspiracy theories, but I’ll say it: Mitch McConnell is most likely still alive. Speculation can be its own kind of satisfying, but I doubt even the U.S. government could keep TMZ from finding out he’d died and announcing it.

this is where your money goes when you buy harry potter stuff. rowling isn’t shy about it. amnesty wrote an even-handed report that laid out what anti-rights groups do; rowling uses her billions & clout to suppress it. when you give rowling money; she spends it on stealing people’s human rights.
