Maybe nobody in the great big world cares about this. But the public libraries in tiny Jefferson County in Northern Appalachia were in danger of losing their tax funding thanks to right-wing book banners. And we won. The library's funding is safe!!!!!

This week marks 4 years since the birth of my second son and my breast cancer diagnosis. Itβs my annual reminder to be grateful for life, and also to encourage other women to check their breasts. Women with dense breast tissue are at higher of breast cancer β early detection truly saves lives.
