The bike around West Seattle and along Alki Beach was a success aside from the surly 11 year old bringing heavy grump times. Hat tip to my brother for giving me his best bike in the stable.

This happened a week ago but my legs are finally fully recovered from the climb of Mt Si (3000' gained in 4 miles) so time for a bike ride!

Trailz update for my commuters- the Mt Vernon Trail is back in business between 4 mile run and the 14th st bridge! There are a number of snow patches with 1 narrow lane through it but I took a picture of the worst one. If you want to skip all that, the new Long Bridge Connector trail's fully melted

Trailz update: the ped/biking trails in Chirilagua between Commonwealth and Mt V Ave are all clear, neat! Probably the best way to access the 4 mile run trail You can get to Pentagon but the access is fully iced. Met a Cabi rider from DC saying everything was clear past that part to cross the river

TRAILZ UPDATE: took a mental break from work to do a look at the state of things in ALX. The Jamieson bike lanes are now for parking and all of Mill st is iced except for in front of the Metro ops building. All of Eisenhower and Holmes Run are cleared, at minimum Bobcat plow width.

A report to users of The Paths, especially bike commuters- the PY trail (not pictured) is cleared from Braddock to terminus near VTech but large portions only parts of lanes are clear so it can be tight for passing. MT Vernon trail is totally covered still- all ramps on 4 Mile Run are fully iced.
