I watched "Yule. Tide. Repeat.," 𝘈𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘋𝘢𝘥!'s Christmas time loop episode from 2020, for the first time on Dec. 15, and while I'm not sure if it's my all-time favorite, I'm a huge fan of the episode. Wow, one of my favorite R&B jams when I was a kid! I didn't know there was a Simpsons AMV to the tune of "Don't Disturb This Groove." Now recalling how Scott Bakula on Enterprise with firsthand experience of the rigours and impact on home life of being a US network TV lead, had specific be home in time for tea working hours in his contract and was a driving force in the show doing less episodes a year ("no one else makes 26!").

Seeing another post lamenting US TV doesn't do 26 episode seasons for most things any more is always going to be funny to me because, having read so many books on the making of things like 90s Trek, it's very clear the people making those shows fucking hated that system at the time.
