Went to a comic show with a huge ring of unsorted longboxes. Everything for a dollar, but it scales up so that you can get 50 for $20. Me, six longboxes in: “Obviously I’m not going to find 50.” Me, about 2/3 through: “Okay, I have to stop myself here and see what I can put back.”

Get everything bagel out of the toaster, spread cream cheese, sprinkle extra everything bagel seasoning on top

SECRETS OF THE PODCASTERS: Sometimes, as I did this morning, I wake up and realize it’s Wednesday and go, “OH CRAP WAS I SUPPOSED TO POST A NEW EPISODE TODAY?” Then I remember it’s an off week, and that even if it wasn’t, the world would not come to an end and I resume living a normal person’s life.

The beauty of TV is the pregnancy that the writers had to put in because one of the actors was pregnant, the leading role who goes missing because they are making a film, the episode that exists to save money, the finales written when they weren't sure if they were coming back...that is TV.

Latest ep also contains one of the best Hal Jordan stories I’ve ever read. It may have been retconned into canonical irrelevance, but no one can ever stop you from just reading a comic as its own experience regardless of later developments, and this one is quite good!

My son just described a Paul McCartney solo album as being “part of the Beatles Extended Universe” and I almost swerved my car into a tree.
