DHS successfully—until now—covered up the murder of a third US citizen on Texas' Padre Island, the sort of thing that can only happen in GOP-ruled Texas. ICE agents shot and killed Ruben Ray Martinez, 23, last year, but DHS covered up the whole incident, Newsweek reports.

The next president should just immediately seize Trump's assets to the dollar value of all of these corrupt emoluments on the grounds that because emoluments are unconstitutional, the money was never Trump's in the first place. Let him try to get them back in the civil asset forfeiture process.

This is a great read. One thing I'd add is that if you're concerned about voter intimidation then do something about it! Volunteer to be a poll worker or observer. Find an organization that gets people to the polls. Engage in get out the vote efforts. There are more of us than there are of them.

CBS not airing James Talarico’s interview with Stephen Colbert because they were supposedly worried about FCC backlash is a really big deal. Stephen Colbert was told not to say anything and did so anyways. This man is not getting enough credit for standing up for free speech.
