I’m glad that Kimmel highlighted the attacks on journalists in his monologue. He laid it out in very straightforward terms, and good on him for using this unique platform to do so. Also good that he talked specifically about the hundreds of crew who would lose their jobs. Simple and clear.

He launched a more powerful defense of journalism than the vast majority of mainstream journalists have and that's an indictment of them.
