New Year's Eve! Time to post the writing I did that I liked best. Starting here, with this remembrance of David Lynch I wrote for @sojo.net shortly after his passing in January. (I still think about Lynch at least once per day, and I suspect that will be true forever)

my favorite game I played this year was Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 for all the reasons everyone loves it. but I also really loved how brave both its act 3 and ending were. I think it's good for games to sometimes have endings where things just don't work out no matter what!
