I have again been asked if AI was used to make my game. For transparency, my minions used generative AI to make all the parts of the game that didn't benefit from a human touch, were too boring to make or not important enough to craft by hand. In other words, we didn't use any generative AI.

There is a tremendous opportunity for a brand new generation of media outlets to rise up right now because many news outlets that spent decades painstakingly building their credibility are seeing it torched by bootlickers with incredible speed.

The thing thats so insidious about using AI this way is that one of the main ways artists get hired are studios looking for art references and they find us and reach out. This is removing a major avenue to get work if they can just generate nameless derivations of our ideas.

Listen, I’ll grant you this thing sucks ass and doesn’t work, and employees and customers hate it and by extension us for using it. I’ll grant you all that. But what if it doesn’t? Wouldn’t we look foolish? I think my logic is sound.

Hell yeah. Incredible vote, mad respect to the workers for standing up. As I say every time there's a win for unionization, and especially under the Microsoft behemoth, this will inspire others toward collective action. Devs deserve better and they're gonna start taking it.
