America needs to have a long conversation about what can be done and what must be done as it becomes more clear. The entirety of Congress has been dissolved, and the only functioning arm of the government is the executive branch by design.

I also know that people want to believe that things will continue being normal, and that normalcy bias has put us in immense danger for months now this may be the final gasp of that normalcy bias existing as it becomes clear to people that congress may never come back into session traditionally

It’s important to realize that while the GOP went full fascist, there was a concerted, relentless, and obscenely well-funded campaign to pull the Dems to the Right. They became the conservative party and the project isn’t even close to being finished.

When stories start popping up in multiple outlets saying liberals are warming to MTG or Nick Fuentes, and they’re not, it’s probably a good thing to start asking why. And then, remember that Bush Era Republicans and the Cheneys were embraced and then liberal think tanks got funded by the Koch’s.

We have a lot to do and not much time to do it. Basic media and political literacy is the absolute bare minimum because it means understanding the problem and what needs to happen. This constant state of chosen amnesia isn’t going to cut it anymore.

Anytime you ask “why did the Times cover it this way?” or whatever corporate media it is, remember that influential moderates are the tool of the wealth class and are there to normalize whatever the wealthy want and create doubt regarding reform and change.
